Won two seats in 2019
Let us tell you that Akhilesh Yadav, who is looking excited after the unexpected victory of Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections – 2024 (37 seats out of total 80), is looking for his ground in Maharashtra and is busy strengthening the organization. Here he wants to contest elections with the Indian alliance (Congress, NCP Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi). He is demanding 12 seats here under the alliance.
In the last 2019 assembly elections, SP had fielded its candidates on seven seats, out of which two candidates had won. The deposits of their candidates on other five seats were confiscated. It is noteworthy that voting for a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra is to be held in a single phase on November 20, while the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
