Maharashtra Election: A fierce battle has erupted in the Maharashtra assembly elections over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Lal Kitab’. Rahul Gandhi had reached Nagpur on Wednesday to hold a rally and during this, ‘Lal Kitab’ was distributed among the people taking part in the rally. The Constitution of India was written on the front of this book, which looked like a notepad. The inside page had a preamble, while the other pages were blank.
Since the last Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi has been waving copies of the Constitution in his meetings. BJP has launched a scathing attack on this book distributed during Rahul Gandhi’s Nagpur rally. Taking aim at Congress, BJP said that the party is busy using the Constitution like a notepad. After the attack by BJP, a clarification has also been presented by Congress and it has been called a notepad.
Congress accused of insulting the Constitution
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has already been accusing BJP of destroying the Constitution. Even during the Nagpur rally, he cornered BJP on this issue. During this time, BJP has become an attacker regarding the ‘Lal Kitab’ distributed in the rally. BJP is accusing Congress of insulting the Constitution.
BJP accused Congress of making fun of the Constitution and said that the Congress party is using it like a notepad. BJP took a dig at Congress by making a video viral that it is unacceptable to mention only the beginning of the Constitution and leave the remaining pages blank. Addressing the ‘Samvidhan Samman Sammelan’, Rahul said that Congress will respect and protect the Constitution at all costs.
Trying to get support from urban Naxalites
Senior BJP leader and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has also made a sharp attack on Congress. He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is trying to garner the support of urban Naxalites. For this, Rahul Gandhi is trying to encourage the anarchist elements with ‘Lal Kitab’ in his hand.
He said that Rahul Gandhi has inclination towards urban Naxalites and I had hinted about this earlier also. My allegations have been proved by Rahul Gandhi showing Lal Kitab during the Nagpur rally. Rahul Gandhi often does this kind of drama and he insults the Constitution in some way or the other every day.
Constitution does not suit Rahul’s hands
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that Rahul Gandhi does not respect the Constitution. That is why the Constitution does not suit their hands. He has no right to give a speech holding the Constitution in his hand. Referring to the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, he said that Nehru ji was not taking Bhimrao Ambedkar into the cabinet.
Later, on Gandhiji’s request, he was made the Law Minister, but later Ambedkar was forced to resign. Congress people worked to make Baba Saheb lose the election. The cover of the Constitution was put up in Nagpur and all the pages inside were blank. The Constitution is of blue color but these people are roaming around with red colour.
Congress’s clarification after BJP’s attack
After the attack by BJP leaders, a clarification has also been presented by the Congress. The statement of Congress Maharashtra Vice President Kishore Kanhere has come to light on BJP’s allegations. He said that at Rahul Gandhi’s program in Nagpur on Wednesday, red notepads were distributed among the audience, which the BJP is calling a copy of the Constitution. The truth is that it was not a copy of the Constitution, but a notepad. It was given to the audience to note the speeches of the speakers. Along with a notepad, the audience was also given a pencil.
The Congress leader said that actually BJP has no issues. Therefore the party is busy setting the wrong narrative. BJP is scared of this program of Rahul Gandhi and that is why wrong allegations are being made by the party. He said that Rahul Gandhi was holding a copy of the Constitution in his hands. Ever since Rahul Gandhi started raising the issue of the Constitution, copies of the Constitution have been missing from the market. There is a big conspiracy of BJP behind this.
