Maharashtra Election: The cash scandal that took place before tomorrow’s voting on 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra has increased the political temperature in the state. Senior BJP leader and National General Secretary Vinod Tawde has been seriously accused of distributing money to influence the elections. Bahujan Vikas Aghadi workers surrounded Tawde in a hotel in Mumbai and created a ruckus regarding this. Vivanta Hotel has been sealed after the uproar.
Now political turmoil has started regarding this entire episode. Vinod Tawde and other senior BJP leaders have completely rejected the allegations of distribution of money. Tawde has also demanded the Election Commission and Mumbai Police to investigate the CCTV footage in this matter. All the BJP leaders are trying to save political losses by presenting clarification. On the other hand, the opposition is very aggressive on this issue. After the FIR was registered in this case, opposition leaders have demanded strict action.
Uddhav said – it is necessary to end the corrupt government
Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray said that the Election Commission officials did not find anything in the search of my bag, but it has come to light that money has been found in the bag of BJP leader Vinod Tawde. He also raised questions regarding the attack on NCP leader Anil Deshmukh. He said that hence I have prayed to Mother Tulja Bhavani that this corrupt and terror spreading government should be eliminated from the state.
BJP will win only by distributing money
Senior leader of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav faction and MP Sanjay Raut has also attacked BJP. He said that the episode of cash distribution has proved that BJP people will win elections only by distributing money. He said that Vinod Tawde is the National General Secretary of BJP and has been doing this kind of work for a long time. He has long experience of distributing money on the occasion of elections.
Sanjay Raut said that the way he got involved in the matter of distribution of money, it is clear that everything is not going well in BJP. It is very difficult to understand how a leader who has been doing this kind of work for so many years got into trouble. If there is even an iota of morality left in BJP then the party should take action against Vinod Tawde.
Record details of money distribution in diary
This uproar over cash scandal started only after the siege of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi leaders and workers. Aghadi leader Hitendra Thakur said that the Election Commissioner has recovered a bag full of money and diaries here. In this diary, along with the list of names, it is also told how much money has been given to whom.
He claimed that a BJP leader himself told him that Rs 5 crore had been brought for distribution. He also said that the Collector has said that there is huge pressure. He even said that he is not even allowed to hold a press conference. He also demanded the Election Commission to take strict action against Tawde and BJP.
BJP called the allegations baseless
BJP leaders have started giving clarification regarding this matter. BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that as a last ditch effort by the MVA, baseless allegations have been made against a senior leader. Vinod Tawde is our national general secretary and he had come to Nalasopara to attend the meeting on the request of the party candidate.
He said that such meetings are held with party workers regarding the voting process. No one can pocket Rs 5 crore. Therefore, we request that the entire matter be investigated through the CCTV cameras of the hotel and surrounding areas.
If you have proof then go to the Election Commission
BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya has termed this entire episode as a conspiracy. He said that if the opposition leaders have any concrete evidence of distribution of money then they should approach the Election Commission.
The Election Commission can take action based on their evidence. He said that before voting, senior leaders give information about booth management and Vinod Tawde was giving instructions to the workers in this regard.
Conspiracy hatched after seeing defeat certain
Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that the opposition will not win with such tactics. He said that Tawde had come to hold a meeting with the workers but a conspiracy was hatched to defame him by making false allegations against him. The opposition is beginning to see its defeat ahead. That’s why this kind of dirty conspiracy is being hatched.
