Maharashtra Politics: Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed a central observer for the election of legislative party leader in Maharashtra. BJP has entrusted the responsibility of choosing the leaders to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. However, there is still suspense regarding the face of the new Chief Minister. Now the team of observers will go to Mumbai and attend the legislature party meeting, after which the name of the leader will be announced.

BJP has made an announcement regarding the swearing in of the new government, which will take place on December 5 at Azad Maidan at 5 pm. Many Union ministers including PM Narendra Modi and CMs of states ruled by BJP and allies are likely to attend the oath ceremony.

BJP leader Raosaheb Danve said that if undivided Shiv Sena and BJP had contested the elections together, they could have got more seats. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Gulabrao Patil said that if Ajit Pawar’s NCP was not in the alliance, Shiv Sena could have won 90 to 100 seats.
