Major accident due to collapse of company wall in Mehsana, Gujarat, 7 people died - India TV Hindi

Mehsana: 7 people have died after a wall of a private company collapsed near Jasalpur village of Kadi taluka of Mehsana district of Gujarat. The incident occurred near Kadi town, about 37 kilometers from the district headquarters. Kadi police station inspector Prahlad Singh Vaghela said that several laborers were digging a pit to build an underground tank for a factory in Jasalpur village, when the soil caved in and they were buried alive. He said that seven bodies have been recovered and some workers are feared buried.

Rescue work continues

According to Inspector Prahlad Singh Vaghela of Kadi Police Station, many workers were buried due to the collapse of the building. Some other laborers are feared trapped. The rescue operation is going on. Rescue teams are working to ensure the safe recovery of any additional workers buried under the debris.

PM Modi expressed grief

PM Modi has also expressed grief over this accident. Giving information in a post on the official My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible assistance to the victims.

Further, another post reads, ‘Rs 2 lakh will be given from PMNRF to the families of each deceased in the accident in Mehsana, Gujarat. An ex-gratia amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.
