Mansa devi temple haridwar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the district hospital of Haridwar and AIIMS Rishikesh on Sunday and got to know the condition of the injured in the accident on Mansa Devi Mandir Marg.
The Chief Minister received detailed information from the doctors about the health status of the injured and directed to ensure the arrangement of proper treatment. He also instructed the concerned officials to provide necessary facilities immediately.
Wishing the early health benefits of all the injured devotees, the Chief Minister said that the state government is standing with every person and heartbroken family affected by this sad incident. He assured that the government will leave no stone unturned in the treatment of the injured and providing all possible help to the family members. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLA Madan Kaushik, MLA Adesh Chauhan, District Administration and Health Department officials were also present on the occasion.
6 people lost their lives in stampede
Today, there was a stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. So far 6 people have died in the incident, while 20 people were injured.
A stampede on the path of temple stairs
According to reports, a large number of devotees reached the temple on Sunday in the holy month of Sawan. Due to the excessive crowd on the path of the temple stairs, chaos spread and stampede. However, some media reports have also claimed that an electric wire suddenly fell on the temple route, causing rumors of the current spreading. In this chaos, people started running to save their lives, causing the situation to become more frightening.
