An incident of rape of a mentally disturbed woman has come to light from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He brutally treated the woman and ran away leaving her. After this the woman was seen roaming on the streets in a semi-nude condition. Then the woman was found lying naked on the road and was sent to the hospital by the patrolling SI on the information of a minor child. Yesterday evening the police arrested the accused on the basis of CCTV footage.
The incident took place on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Sadarbazar police station TI Tarun Singh Bhati got information that a woman was lying naked in Neelkanth Colony. After this he was taken to the hospital with the help of an ambulance. Later it was found that the woman was mentally disturbed and had been raped. This has been confirmed in the medical report.

When the police team went to Neelkanth Colony and investigated, it was revealed that at around 3 o’clock in the night a young man was holding a woman’s hand and taking her near Jinsi Kali Masjid. After this, at around 4 o’clock the woman was seen returning completely naked. A cyclist was walking behind him. After investigation, the youth Sahil alias Sonu, father of Rambabu Soni (20), resident of Janta Colony, Malharganj, who took the woman by the hand last evening, was arrested.

Even during the arrest, Sonu was wearing the same clothes which he was wearing while taking the woman. During interrogation, he told that he had consumed drugs on Monday evening. He was wandering at night when he saw the woman. Talked to her and took her along and raped her in the garden of Neelkanth Colony. When he started leaving after the rape, the woman also started following him in a naked state.
