A 15-year-old boy has been detained in Gujarat’s Valsad district for killing the child of a woman with whom he is having an affair. A police official said on Saturday that on the complaint of a married woman named Muskaan Asgarali, the police took out the body of a four-month-old child from the grave, after which the minor was arrested. According to the officer, Asghar Ali, a resident of Umargam, told the police that the boy had killed the child on January 13 and lied that it was an accident.
According to Asgar Ali, she had gone to the market at the time of the incident and the accused told her that the child had fallen from the bed and had suffered a head injury. “The child was declared dead at a nearby hospital and buried in the Umargam graveyard. The accused left the place on January 14, which made the woman suspicious,” he said.

Following his complaint on January 15, the child’s body was taken out in the presence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. According to the post-mortem report, the child had suffered serious head injuries.” A case of accidental death has been registered and police teams were sent to Haryana, Delhi as well as Agra and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, the official said. It is said that the 15-year-old accused was detained from Prayagraj and brought to Valsad and he confessed to killing the child because his family was not ready to accept his relationship with the woman.
Woman living separately from her husband
Police said that the woman was separated from her husband, with whom she had this child. According to the police, the minor has been charged with murder, concealment of evidence and other offenses under the Indian Justice Code and was produced before the juvenile court. (Input- PTI language)
