Monsoon rains continue in Rajasthan and heavy rains have occurred in Mount Abu and Sri Ganganagar in the last 24 hours. According to the Jaipur centre of the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours till 8:30 am on Thursday, rains accompanied by thunder occurred at some places in the state. During this period, heavy rains occurred at some places in Sri Ganganagar district.
According to the department, the maximum rainfall was recorded in Jaitsar of Sri Ganganagar at 80 mm and Mount Abu at 49 mm. Apart from this, moderate rainfall was recorded at many places in Alwar, Bharatpur, Barmer and Udaipur districts. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius was recorded in Phalodi and the highest minimum temperature of 27.3 degree Celsius was recorded in Bikaner.
According to the Meteorological Center, heavy rain activity has decreased in most parts of the state since Wednesday and light to moderate rain is expected at some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Udaipur divisions in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, light rain is expected only at some places from August 30 to September 1.
For Thursday, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain for Bhilwara, Bundi, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Alwar, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Sikar districts, so there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some of these districts.
At the same time, there is every possibility of increase in rain activities in Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur divisions from September 2 and heavy rains are expected at some places. Similarly, light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan on August 28-29. Along with this, from August 30 to September 3, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry in most parts and light rain is expected only at some places.
