Rain has stopped in Gwalior Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh, but due to the overflowing of Nadia, there is flood everywhere. The situation is normal at many places, but in Pawaya Manpur of Bhitarwar subdivision, people are still being rescued by the army. Waterlogging was also seen at most places in Dabra city. The worst situation was at Nandu’s camp, where the rescue operation continued till night and about a hundred people were evacuated safely. Water was also filled in the areas around Sahrai bridge. People were evacuated safely from here too.
Traffic has resumed on Dabra Bhitarwar road due to the decrease in the flow of Non river on Friday night. At the same time, water is still flowing on the bridge going to Gwalior via Chhimak, due to which the road remains blocked. The bridge of Daulatpur Rijhora has been damaged due to water.
Let us tell you that, due to the release of water from Madi Kheda and Upper Kaketo in Dabra and Bhitarwar subdivisions, the water level of the rivers had increased considerably. Due to this, waterlogging was seen at many places. The water level of Sindh, Parvati and Non rivers had increased considerably.
On receiving information about people being stranded in Manpur Basti near Dhumeshwar Pawaya, situated on the banks of Sindh River, Bhitarwar SDM Devkinandan Singh, SDOP Jitendra Nagaich reached the spot with the Army rescue team and made arrangements to evacuate the villagers.
With the rain stopping from Friday, the water level of the rivers is also decreasing. The water level of the Sindh river has decreased by about five feet, while the Non river which was passing over the bridge. Due to the decrease in its water level, the Dabra Bhitarwar route has become operational. At the same time, only a little water is left on the Bhangarh bridge, soon the route to Gwalior will also open from here.
The social workers of the city are making arrangements for food for the people. The administration is also engaged in making arrangements for the health and food of the people at its own level, but the people who have left their homes still have a longing to go back home. At the same time, due to the overflow of the canal on Sirohi Road in Dabra, there is a possibility of waterlogging on Chinaur Road. The administration is busy making arrangements here too.
