Here a 45-year-old woman was beaten so much in the name of exorcising ghosts that she was killed. The entire case is of Jamberghatta village of Bhadravati taluk in Shimoga district.
Woman beat the victim for 6 hours
According to the information, the victim’s name is Geetamma, who was brutally beaten for hours. Geetamma’s son Sanjay seemed to be a shadow of ghosts on his mother, which he took his mother to a woman named Asha to get it off. Asha claimed that she has supernatural powers and claimed that she would do a ritual to liberate Geetamma from the ghost. After this, Asha beat Geetamma for about six hours in the night, which was described as a way to escape the ghost. However, this caused serious injuries to Geetamma and finally died.

Police took action
As soon as the information of this matter reached the police, the Holhnnur police came into action. At present, the police have arrested Sanjay, Asha and her husband Santosh, all three. Also a case of murder has been registered against him. The police is investigating further in the case.
