Bihar News: The opposition of Muslim society over the Waqf Amendment Bill is increasing and now its effect is also visible on the allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been rejected by many Muslim organizations. These organizations have given information about this decision in a letter written to Nitish Kumar. Building-e-Sharia and other major Muslim organizations announced to boycott the Dawat-e-Iftar of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to be held on Sunday, 23 March. These organizations say that this protest is being done against the support of the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill 2024.
These organizations rejected
In the letter sent to the Chief Minister, these organizations have clearly stated that if this Waqf Bill law is made, then Nitish Kumar and his party JDU will be responsible for this. Outs boycotted organizations include All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Bhawan-e-Sharia, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Khankah Mujibia, Khankah Rahmani and eight other organizations supported the decision. The letter also said that Nitish Kumar’s government is ignoring the legitimate demands of Muslims, which makes such formal feasts futile.
Muslim organizations accused
Muslim organizations allege that Nitish Kumar promised secular rule, which also promised to protect the rights of minorities. But Nitish Kumar is going against his commitments by supporting the alliance with BJP and unconstitutional and irrational laws.
What did Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind say
Maulana Arshad Madni, president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, said that it is necessary to oppose the leaders who claim to be secular, who are silent on the atrocities on Muslims and remain part of the government. He said that Muslims are being deliberately targeted and this situation is worrisome. Madani also said that conspiracies are going on to exclude Muslims from society, and during this time the religious places are being implicated in disputes. The leaders who call themselves secular on this are silent, and it is very sad.
RJD supported
At the same time, RJD also supported Nitish Kumar’s iftar boycott and said that this step is welcome. RJD alleged that Nitish Kumar has also supported CAA, triple talaq and other disputed laws, and now Muslims and boards should also raise their voice.
