DA Hike in Haryana: After the Centre, the Haryana government has also given good news to its employees before Diwali. A 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) has been announced for employees and pensioners. The increased rate will be applicable from July 1, 2024. Now in Haryana, the inflation rate on basic salary and basic pension has been increased from 50 percent to 53 percent.
As per the order of the state finance department, the increased DA and DR will be given along with the salary and pension/family pension of October and the arrears for the months of July to September will be given in December.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Central Government announced a three percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). It will be effective from July 1, 2024. This will benefit more than one crore employees and pensioners before the Diwali festival. In March also, the government had increased DA/DR by four percentage points to 50 percent from January 1, 2024.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had also announced a three percent increase in dearness allowance and relief for state government employees and pensioners on Monday, ahead of Diwali. According to a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, with this increase, dearness allowance has increased from 50 to 53 percent. The increased dearness allowance will be effective from July 1, 2024.
Apart from this, the government has increased the dearness relief for pensioners by three percent, who will get this adjustment in their October pension. According to the release, this decision will benefit about 7.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state government.
