On the instructions of Gujarat High Court, a senior civil judge of Vadodara has already been suspended. Now his name has appeared in an FIR lodged at Bodeli police station in Chhota Udepur district. He has been accused of encroachment and theft. His name is AR Pathak. He was posted as Principal Senior Civil Judge in Bodeli Court.
On September 30, a case has been registered against him along with two other people. The allegation against them is that they entered the sealed room of the court and took some important documents home with them. Chhota Udepur District Registrar Jaideep Shah said in the complaint that he had gone to give the suspension order on September 17 regarding some allegations against him. Pathak left the court at 6:10. They also took 11 bundles with them. After this the room was sealed in my presence.
According to the Times of India report, the FIR states that the keys of the judicial officer’s chamber, courtroom and staff room were with peon Gopal Rathwa. He handed them over to the second additional judge of Bodeli. After this, on September 18, the Registrar received information over phone that the sealed locks of the judicial officer’s chamber, court room and staff room had been broken.
After this Jaideep Shah informed the Principal District Judge about this. He asked for investigation in this matter. After this the Registrar told that he has received information that Pathak, Gopal Rathwa and Home Guard Subhash Rathwa have broken the seal for illegal entry. The registrar had cited CCTV footage and statements of court room staff to confirm his point.
