This incident happened when all the people were standing under a tree near a pond to avoid getting wet during the rain. During this time, suddenly a natural calamity fell on them and seven people died. Three other people are injured in this accident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
In fact, today at 3.30 pm, seven people died due to lightning in village Mohtara (Latuwa) under Thana City Kotwali area. All the people were standing under a tree near the Naya Talab to avoid the rain. During this time, seven people died on the spot due to sudden lightning. Also three other people are injured, who have been brought to the District Hospital Balodabazar for proper treatment.
The bodies of all the deceased have been brought to the district hospital Balodabazar. The names of the deceased are Mukesh (20) son of Rajan, Tankar (30) son of Hemlal Sahu, Santosh (40) son of Mahesh Sahu, Thaneshwar (18) son of Dau Sahu, Pokhraj (38) son of Dukhu Vishwakarma, Dev (22) son of Gopal Das, Vijay (23) son of Tilak Sahu. The names of the injured are Vishambar son of Thanwar, Bittu Sahu and Chetan Sahu.
