Navsari: Three people, including a doctor, have been arrested in connection with the death of a school principal due to alleged treatment at a private hospital in Navsari district of Gujarati. Police said that after the death of Arjun Rathore (54) during treatment in November 2024, the investigation committee of Navsari Civil Hospital convicted the three, including a trustee of the hospital, for negligence.
Doctor arrested after investigation
Deputy Superintendent of Police BV Gohil said that the accused have been identified as Dr. Bharat Nayak, Nurse Nirali Nayak and Emesh Gandhi, manager of private hospitals. He said that he has been arrested under various sections including culpable homicide (Section 105) based on the report of the inquiry committee. An FIR was lodged against the three at Gandevi police station on 10 May.
Because of this the principal died
Police said Rathore was admitted to a private hospital on November 6, 2024 after falling from a chair in the house and injuries. Police said that his ‘orthopedic’ surgery was performed and later shifted to the ICU of the hospital, where Dr. Nayak instructed the nurse to install Rathore 0.4 ML ‘Termine Injection’. According to the police, thereafter there was a severe decline in the patient’s blood pressure and oxygen levels, causing him to die. Gohil said that the investigation of the case is going on.
Engineering student arrested
At the same time, a 21 -year -old engineering student in Anand city of Gujarat has been arrested on the social media platform for allegedly posting objectionable remarks about ‘Operation Sindoor’. Inspector CP Chaudhary of Anand Cyber Crime Police Station said that the accused is an engineering student of Bhuj in Kutch district and lived in a hostel in Vallabh Vidyanagar.
