The name of the deceased has been identified as Kanhaiya Tati. Tati’s body was found near a government school in Poshanpalli village near Bhopalpatnam police station.

After getting information about the incident, the police team reached the spot. According to the information so far, Tati has been killed with a sharp weapon on the suspicion of being a police informer. After the murder, the Naxalites left the dead body near the school and ran away. The police have launched a search operation to nab the accused Maoists. Security forces said that he would be caught soon.

Police said that with this incident, 51 people have been killed by Naxalites so far this year at different places in Bastar division comprising seven districts including Bijapur.
