Once again, a few hours after the formation of BJP government under the leadership of Naib Singh Saini in Haryana, the attitude of BJP leader Anil Vij was seen to have changed. Vij said that he never expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister, never said that he wanted to become the CM. Earlier during the assembly elections, Anil Vij had given a statement that only BJP will form the government in Haryana. The party will decide on the CM, if the party wants me then our next meeting will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence. I am the most senior person in the party.
After taking oath as cabinet minister in Haryana on Thursday, BJP leader Anil Vij dismissed speculations about his claim to become the chief minister of the state. Anil Vij told media persons, “I never said that I want to become the CM. The information was spread among my supporters and workers that Anil Vij does not want to become the CM or does not want to take any responsibility, hence I made such a statement. Given that till now, I have done all the work given to me by the party, if the party gives me this responsibility, I will complete it.”
Earlier today, former Deputy Chief Minister Anil Vij, Shruti Chaudhary, MLA from Israna Krishna Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh from Badshahpur and Mahipal Dhanda from Panipat took oath as ministers in the cabinet of CM Nayab Singh Saini. This comment of Anil Vij comes after BJP leader Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time today.
Earlier, Naib Singh Saini, who was the hero of BJP’s victory in Haryana Assembly elections, took oath as the Chief Minister of the state in a grand ceremony on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were present in the program. Thousands of people had gathered at the Dussehra grounds in Panchkula to watch Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administer oath to OBC leader Saini and 13 other ministers. By choosing the day of Valmiki Jayanti for this function and by arranging the stage for the Chief Ministers, Ministers and NDA allies of the states under its rule, BJP gave two messages simultaneously.
