Tejashwi yadav on nitish kumar: The smell of gunpowder has dissolved these days in Bihar’s Fiza. Every day new corpses, mourning in every street and fear in every house… It is not a film script, but the ground reality of the state, which was once known by the identity of ‘Good Governance Babu’. But now the picture has completely changed. 17 murders in a week. Yes, 17 people were killed in just seven days in Bihar. Some were killed in Patna, some in Sitamarhi. There was a lawyer, some innocent girl. The land of Bihar is now drenched with blood and law and order itself is groaning in ICU.
‘Good governance’ lost in the echo of bullets
The situation in Bihar has deteriorated so much that criminals are now firing bullets not only in the dark of night, but in broad daylight, markets, outside hospitals and in court premises. The capital Patna, which was considered ‘safe’, has now become a new playground of mafia and killers. The lawyer is shot in public bullets during the day, the nurse is killed outside the house, and the traders are now afraid to leave the house. In the past, the murder of BJP leader Surendra Kewat has shook the government’s stove. Bike riders came, shot four bullets and escaped. He died during treatment. Earlier, the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka made the streets of Patna red. These murders have become no exception, but have now become the ‘new common’ of Bihar.
Tejashwi Yadav’s direct attack – “Nitish sick, Bihar helpless.”
Amidst these criminal incidents, Tejashwi Yadav has launched the most spicy attack on the Nitish government. He wrote on social media – “There is a shower of bullets in Bihar, criminals are fearless, and the Chief Minister is ill. The entire state has become helpless.” Tejashwi also asked that when the BJP leaders are not safe, who will protect the general public? Tejashwi also put both the Deputy Chief Ministers – Emperor Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha – in the dock and asked, “When the Chief Minister is unwell, what are these two ‘unacceptables’ Deputy Chief Ministers?” He alleged that the government has failed completely and criminals are getting political patronage.
‘Murder wave’ before election, increased pressure on government
The BJP leader has been killed at a time when Bihar is busy preparing for elections. The opposition has made a strategy to completely surround the government on this issue. Every murder, every bullet, every scream has now become an issue of election forum. In such a situation, this phase has become very challenging for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and NDA. However, the government did not miss on patting its back. Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary claimed that “there is no organized crime in Bihar, good governance is maintained.” But the ground reality is not matching the government’s words. On one side, corpses are falling every day, on the other hand the minister is chanting good governance on TV.
People are living in the shadow of fear
There are similar reports from the capital Patna to Nalanda, Vaishali, Sitamarhi and Sheikhpura – the sound of bullets, the crying family and the police returning empty -handed. Now the trust of the common man is getting up from the law. People are asking – “If the lawyer is not safe, if the BJP leaders are unable to escape, then what is the cost of the life of the common man?” There is silence in the streets of cities, there is panic in villages and angry on social media. People are openly saying that Bihar has now moved towards ‘Jungle Raj 2.0’.
New explosion of Bihar politics?
Nitish Kumar has not been looking very active for a long time for health reasons. In such a situation, questions are beginning to arise – has Nitish ji now have the ability to handle Bihar’s reins? Need to change leadership in NDA? Will the opposition surround the government on the issue of crime this time and change the electoral equation? The answer to these questions will give time, but it is certain that the land of Bihar is painted with blood, and now the tolerance of the public has started answering. If the situation remains the same, then the 2025 assembly election will be not just a political battle, but a decisive battle of “law vs crime”.
