Threat to bomb the airport
Vadodara and Rajkot airports of Gujarat have received bomb threats. Police said on Saturday that Vadodara and Rajkot airport officials had received an email containing a bomb threat. As soon as information about the bomb was received in the airport, a search operation was launched. After a thorough search of the airport premises, the threatening mail has been found to be fake.
Search operation conducted at the airport
An official said the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed at Harni airport in Vadodara had received the email. After this, police, fire brigade, bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a search.
Threat received from this mail ID
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Panna Momaya said that the threatening mail was sent from the ID of generalshiva76@rediffmail.com. The same threatening email was also sent to Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Bhuj airports of Gujarat. The location of the bomb inside the airport was not mentioned in this email.

Police said the email read, ‘I have inflated his ego and disappointed him! Hahaha! outcome? Bang, bang and bang! Big bang!! Hohohohohoho! No one can stop, no one can escape! The game has started! Jai Mahakal, Jai Maa Adishakti!”
Bomb threat proved to be fake
The police officer said, ‘The threat was common to all the airports listed in the email. The airport premises were searched for several hours. After this the bomb threat proved to be a fake.
Police started investigating the case
DCP Panna Momaya said that an FIR has been registered at Harni police station under section 351 (4) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication). Police have intensified investigation against the person sending the mail. The police officer said that strict action will be taken against the accused.
