The political temperature in Bihar and especially the Seemanchal region is heated due to the Hindu Swabhiman Yatra of Union Minister Giriraj Singh starting from Friday. Now Giriraj has termed his journey as non-political. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said that BJP, JDU or NDA have nothing to do with this yatra. He is going as a Hindu and is undertaking the yatra under the leadership of Swami Dipankar. Let us tell you that assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar next year. It is believed that through this visit, Giriraj will create an atmosphere in favor of BJP in the Muslim dominated Seemanchal region.
Begusarai MP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) firebrand leader Giriraj Singh has an image as a Hindu leader. His Hindu Swabhiman Yatra will start from Bhagalpur on Friday. From here he will tour the entire Seemanchal region including Katihar, Purnia and Araria till October 22. His journey will end in Kishanganj. It is being told that if this journey is successful then its next phase will also be announced later.

Political heat is being seen in Seemachal regarding the visit of Giriraj Singh. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM, which has its support base in Muslim dominated areas, termed it a yatra that would create a wedge between Hindus and Muslims. AIMIM Bihar President Akhtarul Iman had said on Tuesday that when Giriraj Singh comes to Kishanganj, he does not see the poverty and Ganga-Jamuni culture here. They see Pakistan only by looking at the beards and caps of the people here. If Giriraj comes again, he will only talk about Tika and Topi.
Bihar’s main opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also termed the yatra as an attempt to spoil the harmony of Seemanchal. RJD spokesperson Alok Raj said that Seemanchal is known for Ganga-Jamuni culture throughout India. The people here will not let Giriraj Singh’s intentions succeed here.

On the other hand, BJP has distanced itself from Giriraj Singh’s visit. When BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal was asked about the opposition’s allegations on Giriraj’s visit, he said that he cannot say anything on this. He only said that BJP works to take the country forward by supporting everyone and developing everyone.
