During the natural disaster in Dharali area of Uttarkashi district, the Health Department has shown exemplary readiness in medical relief work while taking care of the front. Under the clear and priority instructions of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Health Secretary Dr. R.K. Rajesh Kumar himself is monitoring the entire campaign. 9-member special team posted in Dharali-Harshil
Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar informed that a 9 -member medical team has been sent through special helicopter service in Harshil and Dharali areas. This team is providing medical services on the spot with the coordination of local administration.
More than 70 injured got treatment
Additional Director Medical Education and CMS Doon Hospital Dr. R. S. A separate 12 -member medical team led by Bisht took the front in Matli. The team consists of 7 doctors and 5 paramedical staff. Dr. Bisht said that so far treatment has been provided to more than 70 injured, most of which have been brought to Matli by air lift. He also informed that no patient is required to refer to today, which makes the relief situation clear.
Additional medical teams are being sent from helism
Health Secretary said that additional medical teams are fully prepared to send teams as required to disaster affected areas. These teams are being sent to the affected areas immediately through Heliceva. The Health Department is ensuring that no person has to be deprived of treatment. The department is active round the clock to provide medical services to every needy.
5 serious patients refer
At present, 09 injured patients are undergoing treatment at Uttarkashi District Hospital, whose condition is said to be stable. While 3 seriously injured persons have been referred to AIIMS Rishikesh, 02 injured were referred to Army Hospital. Where his proper treatment continues under the supervision of specialist doctors.
Psychiatric assistance also continues
Health Department teams are fast reaching the ground zero and providing first aid, emergency treatment and relief services. In particular, teams of psychiatrists have also been deployed on the spot to overcome the affected people from mental trauma, who are providing mental support through continuous counseling.
