Modasa (Gujarat): Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi today claimed that only Congress can defeat BJP and RSS. He said this during Rahul’s second Gujarat visit within a week. Rahul Gandhi said- even though party workers seem discouraged, only their own party can beat the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and BJP. Rahul Gandhi was addressing booth level Congress workers in Modasa city of district.
Rahul Gandhi expressed his party’s resolve to defeat the RSS and the BJP for almost 30 years. He described Gujarat as the most important state for the Congress, where the party once used to be a powerful political force.
Rahul Gandhi was addressing Congress workers after starting a practical plan to strengthen district units as part of the Congress efforts to give a new look to the organization in Gujarat. Assembly elections are to be held in Gujarat at the end of 2027. Addressing the public meeting, he said, “Gujarat is the most important state for the Congress party. We look discouraged in Gujarat, but we will defeat them (BJP) in the state. I have come to tell you that it is not difficult. We will definitely complete this task. Only the Congress party can defeat RSS and BJP.”
Congress workers demonstrated across the country
Explain that the Congress leaders and activists are protesting at the ED office across the country on Wednesday in protest against the ED’s filing a charge sheet against the top leaders of the party, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the ‘National Herald’ case. Party leaders described this move of ED as politically motivated. Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot alleged that all this is a matter of politics inspired. He told reporters, “This is a politics -motivated case. We have confidence in the judicial system. We will fight it legally. Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have been deliberately targeted.” Pilot said that all this has been done to suppress the voice of the opposition.
Pawan Kheda, head of the party’s media department, claimed, “The British were irritated by the National Herald, Gandhi family and the Congress party before 1947, today in 2025 the RSS people tease.” He said that the Gandhi family and the Congress party still had the voice of the fun and even today. Kheda said, “The non -profit company which did not have a transaction of even one rupee, no property was transferred, filing a case of money laundering on it is a sign of Modi’s fear.” The ED has filed a charge sheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others on charges of money refinement in the National Herald case.
