parcel blast
Ahmedabad: A parcel blast caused panic in Sabarmati area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Both the parcel delivery person and the parcel receiver were injured. The incident took place at Shivam Row House around 10.30 am on Saturday. According to the police, both the parcel deliverer and the parcel receiver are injured. According to the police, there was a battery explosion in the parcel. As soon as the news of the parcel blast was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigation.
The accused was arrested
Police officer Neeraj Kumar Bargurjar said that a person named Gaurav Gadhvi came to Baldev’s residence in Sabarmati and handed over a parcel which burst. Accused Gaurav Gadhvi has been arrested. Police said that the accused had prepared the parcel and brought it. The parcel also contained blades and electronic switches. At present the police is investigating the matter. Sabarmati police said that the accused was identified as Gaurav Gadhvi, who had come here to deliver the parcel to Baldevbhai. However, the parcel exploded during delivery, injuring Baldevbhai’s brother Kirit Sukhadiya and Gadhvi himself.
Police engaged in investigation
During investigation it came to light that the blast was the result of a personal family dispute. Preliminary investigation revealed that liquor containers were used in the blast. Police have registered a case of attempt to murder. The names of those involved in carrying out the blast have been identified and investigation is underway.
