Patna aiims: Bahubali Anand Mohan of Bihar and MP of MP Lovely Anand have gone on strike demanding an FIR on son Chetan Anand, a doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) of Patna, due to which AIIMS has stalled from OPD to Emergency. The doctors allege that Shivhar MLA Chetan Anand, his wife Dr. Ayushi Singh and his armed security personnel with AIIMS guards and doctors with AIIMS It is, at the same time, MLA Chetan Anand has accused AIIMS staff of assaulting at Phulwari police station.
What is allegation
According to the Resident Doctors Association (RDA), Chetan Anand and the people accompanying him forcibly entered the Trauma Center Complex at around 11 pm and the security staff were attacked, the resident doctors were threatened with death and the gun was waved in the hospital premises. A security guard received serious injuries after he allegedly attacked the weapon. Doctors are very angry with the administration not taking any action. The doctors say no FIR has been lodged, nor have any legal or institutional steps taken immediately to prevent the incident or protect the employees.
Demand doctors
Citing the failure of the authorities to ensure its security, the RDA issued a formal notice to the hospital administration, stating these demands:
An FIR should be lodged against MLA Chetan Anand, Dr. Ayushi Singh and his security guards.
Adequate and permanent security personnel should be deployed throughout the hospital.
Written assurance of the incident and public condemnation by hospital officials.
Strict security protocols should be implemented for the safety of health workers on duty.
Until these demands are met, alternative services will remain suspended. If the administration does not take appropriate action till the scheduled time frame, the doctors have warned that emergency services will also be completely discontinued.
