PM Modi inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of projects in Ekta Nagar.

Ekta Nagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the world’s largest statue ‘Statue of Unity’ in Ekta Nagar in Narmada district of Gujarat. During his visit, the PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 284 crore as well as tourist attraction sites. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister is on a 2-day visit to Gujarat and he will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations during his stay in the state. On 31 October, the birth anniversary of the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is celebrated as National Unity Day.

Inauguration of 50 bed sub-district hospital

After reaching Ekta Nagar, located about 200 km from Ahmedabad, Modi inaugurated several new projects, including a sub-district hospital, smart bus stop, 4 MW solar project and 2 ‘ICU-on-wheels’. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a new 50-bed Sub-District Hospital at a cost of Rs 22 crore. The official release said the hospital has the facility of a trauma centre, gynecological operation theatre, ‘minor operating theatre’, CT scan facility, an ICU, delivery room, physiotherapy ward, medical store and an ambulance.

4 MW solar project also inaugurated

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated 10 smart bus stops and 10 pick-up stands for tourists, car charging points and a running track for State Reserve Police Force personnel in Ekta Nagar. PM Modi also inaugurated a 4 MW solar project developed at a cost of Rs 23.26 crore to promote renewable energy. On the occasion, Modi laid the foundation stone of a sewage treatment plant at Ekta Nagar costing Rs 75 crore, which will manage the sewage disposal of about 4000 houses, government quarters and other hospitality establishments.

PM also laid the foundation stone of Bonsai Garden

Apart from this, the foundation stone of fire brigade personnel residential quarter and Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center was also laid during the Prime Minister’s visit. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of a bonsai garden which aims to promote sustainable development and biodiversity conservation. (Language)
