Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three -day visit to Gujarat from today. This is PM Modi’s first visit to the BJP after the BJP’s stunning victory in the local body elections. They will reach Gujarat late this evening. PM Modi will preside over the National Wildlife Board (NBWL) meeting in Sasan in Junagadh district during his three -day visit. Officials said that Prime Minister Modi will also visit the Animal Care Center Vantara in Jamnagar on Sunday and enjoy the jungle safari the next day.
Somnath Trust will preside over the meeting
Chief Chief Conservator of Forests and Forest Force of Gujarat AP Singh said that Prime Minister Modi will also preside over a meeting of Shri Somnath Trust, which manages the world famous Somnath temple during his stay at Sasan, Headquarters of Gir National Park. Singh said, “The Prime Minister will reach Jamnagar on the evening of March 1 and will rest the night at the Circuit House. The next day he is scheduled to visit the Vanatara Animal Care Center in Jamnagar. He will leave from Jamnagar and reach Sasan in the evening. ”
Will visit Gir National Park on March 3
The official website states that Vantara, Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation have a state -of -the -art animal care, conservation and rehabilitation center established in an area of about 3,000 acres within the refinery complex in Jamnagar. Singh said that after arriving at the office-cum-gold house ‘Singh Sadan’ in Sasan, the Prime Minister will preside over the meeting of Somnath Trust. He said that on March 3, the Prime Minister will start his day by enjoying Jungle Safari in Gir National Park, which is the residence of Asian lions.
Discussion on national issues related to wildlife
He said, “After returning to Singh Sadan, he will preside over a meeting of NBWL. In such meetings, national level issues related to wildlife are discussed and they are finalized. This meeting is special, because it will be chaired by the Prime Minister. “NBWL has 47 members, including army chiefs, members of various states, representatives of NGOs working in the region, Chief Wildlife Warden and Secretary of various states. The Prime Minister of the country is the ex -officio president of NBWL.
Will talk to forest employees
He said that after the meeting, Prime Minister will interact with some women forest employees in Sasan. He said that the Prime Minister will later worship at the Somnath temple in Girn Somnath district. He told that he will reach Rajkot Airport from Somnath and leave for Delhi.
