Himachal Pradesh Police has taken a major action against drugs. Different police teams raided 42 locations and seized heroin and liquor along with drug smugglers.

Himachal Pradesh Police carried out a major operation against drugs. Under this operation, for the first time, 42 teams from Kangra, Nurpur, Chamba, Una and Bilaspur districts raided 42 locations simultaneously in the state. Police have arrested eight drug smugglers. Along with this, three vehicles have also been seized and a large quantity of drugs like heroin have also been recovered.
The aim was to stop drug trafficking
He said that in this operation, raids were conducted at important places in Kangra, Nurpur, Chamba, Una and Bilaspur districts. Police teams raided eight places in Kangra, 10 in Nurpur, seven in Chamba, six in Una and 11 in Bilaspur. The purpose of this action was to seize the drugs and collect evidence to dismantle the big smuggling network, identify drug operators and trace their properties.
Goods recovered during the raid
He said that during this operation, five kilograms of poppy husk and 25 grams of chitta (heroin) were recovered. Apart from this, three vehicles involved in drug smuggling were seized, including two four-wheelers (XUV 300 and Alto) and one two-wheeler. He said that 57 liters of illegal liquor was seized in the operation. He said that a total of eight drug smugglers have been arrested in these cases.
Now efforts are being made to break the illegal chain
Police said that the special team is now investigating the mobiles and other materials seized during the search. The aim of the police is to break the chain of this illegal business. He said that forensic investigation of the seized mobiles is being done to collect the details of the properties of the big criminals involved in drug smuggling. He said that a proposal has been sent to the state government to obtain a detention order as part of strict action against the criminals involved in drug smuggling.
