Balwant Singh Rajput
Gandhinagar: Gujarat minister Balwant Singh Rajput on Thursday targeted the opposition Congress and claimed that India could not initially achieve the desired growth as a poor country got a rich Prime Minister after independence. Without naming Jawaharlal Nehru, the state’s Industry, Labor and Employment Minister Rajput claimed in the House that the clothes of the first Prime Minister were sent abroad for washing.
Rajput made this comment on February 19 during his speech on the Governor’s proposal on the address of the Governor, which was the first day of the budget session released. Rajput said, “The situation that arose after our country got independence in 1947 was different from the point of view of our freedom fighters. This happened because a poor country found a rich Prime Minister. As a result, India could not achieve the desired growth after independence. It is said that their clothes were sent to another country to wash.
‘India should have got the fruits of development, then poverty got’
He said, “When buying a bicycle, he used to travel by air. People believed that if the Prime Minister were like him, the situation of the country would have been different. PM praised Modi
The minister claimed, “A late Prime Minister had admitted that only 15 paise out of one rupee allocated by the government reached the beneficiary. This proves that corruption of 85 paise was done. ”Rajput praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he made the state a model for the country with several initiatives.
