Prashant Kishor News: Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishore is embroiled in controversies regarding his candidates and it is being said that he is following the footsteps of Lalu Prasad Yadav in politicizing criminals. However, he has been targeting other political parties while speaking on criminalization of politics and education in Bihar. It seems that the superstar of Bihar politics has fallen into his own trap.
Questions arising regarding selection of candidates
Prashant Kishor is under question. Especially questions are being raised on the selection of candidates of his party Jan Jan Suraj. In the by-elections being held on four seats in Bihar, questions are being raised regarding the criminal cases registered against three candidates of his party and their level of education. Criminal cases have been registered against the candidates fielded by Prashant Kishor on serious charges like attempt to murder, extortion, kidnapping and fraud.
This may affect the image of Prashant Kishor, especially when he has fielded three candidates with criminal background among the candidates fielded from Belaganj, Imamganj, Ramgarh and Tarari. Let us tell you that among these four, there is only one name which does not have a criminal record and this name is that of Kiran Singh who has filed nomination from Tarari. Kiran Singh has no criminal record, although if we talk about his education, he is only 10th pass. Prashant Kishore had earlier fielded retired General SK Singh from this seat but his name was not in the voter list, hence he was no longer eligible to contest the by-election.
Now let’s talk about Belaganj seat, Jan Suraj has made Mohammad Amjad the candidate from here. His profession is agriculture business whereas cases of attempted murder, extortion and assault are registered against 10th pass Mohammad Amjad.
Similarly, the candidate from Imamganj seat, 47 year old Jitendra Paswan, 12th pass, is said to be a doctor by profession. If we know how he is a doctor, then many cases of kidnapping, fraud, assault and theft are registered against him. And Sushil Kumar Kushwaha, 55, from Ramgarh seat, is a 12th pass farmer and has cases registered against him for attempt to murder, check bounce and assault.
Prashant Kishore
It is not that Prashant Kishor is unaware of all this. Giving his clarification, he says that all his candidates come from normal families. Despite the criminal case being registered, he says that his candidate is neither a criminal nor connected to the mafia. Along with this, while creating his own definition on the issue of education, he says that the selection criteria of the right candidate should not be the degree, but his image in the society. Whereas Prashant Kishore himself, during his campaign, has raised questions on the increasing criminalization in Bihar politics. Apart from this, Tejashwi Yadav has also taken a jibe at him for having passed only 9th class. In such a situation, time will tell how effective will be their clarification regarding the criminal history and education of their candidates.
