Airports Authority of India (AAI) team will soon visit Nalanda and Bhagalpur for site visit and pre-feasibility study of the airport. Regarding this, Director of Aircraft Organization Directorate, Dr. Nilesh Ramchandra Devre has sought reports from both the districts on seven points. The directorate has asked both the districts to provide details of the coordinates of the proposed site in WGS-84 system, revenue map of the site indicating the khesra number.
The Directorate has received from both the districts a sketch of the site indicating the dimensions as well as the overall geometrical shape of the proposed site, a map of the Survey of India on a scale of 150000, meteorological data of the last ten years from the Indian Meteorological Department, details of the proposed site. Windrose diagram and contour map of the site showing the extent of the land has been sought. The Chief Secretary also took partial information about the preparations made so far in the VC meeting held two days ago for soon starting the flight movement from the airports in both the districts. The Chief Secretary also said that the instructions are being received from the Directorate. Take immediate action on it. So that the team of Airport Authority of India can investigate the site.

Plan to open airports at these two places
Proposal 1 – Proposal for 855 acres of land in Sultanganj Proposal number one consists of 855 acres of land. This land is west of Sultanganj-Deoghar Road and south of the four lane under construction. The proposal includes 300 acres in Masdi (71), 225 acres in Nonsar (83), 50 acres in Rajganj (84), 79 acres in Kaswa (79), 40 acres in Sujapur (78) and 35 acres in Manjali (80). A total land of 855 acres has been mentioned.
Proposal 2 – Proposal of 878.43 acres of land in Goradih. In the second proposal, 878.43 acres of land including the Goshala of Goradih has been listed. In this, 44.35 acres of government land, 240.08 acres of cowshed and 594 acres of raiyat land will be taken. A 4500 long and 500 wide runway can be prepared in the ground. It is at a distance of 20 km from Bhagalpur station. A 1026 meter long and 744 meter wide terminal can be built in it. The land is 4500 meters long and 500 meters wide.
