Uttarakhand news: India’s President Draupadi Murmu will be on a three -day visit to Uttarakhand from June 19 to June 21, where she will inaugurate various development projects in Dehradun and participate in mass yoga performance on International Yoga Day. President Niketan will stay in Dehradun, where she will inaugurate the newly-made amphitheater and will lay the foundation stone of employees residence, stables and security barracks.
On June 20, President Murmu will open President Niketan to the public and also inaugurate visitor facilities such as Visitor Facilitation Center, Cafeteria and Smriti Center. During this time, she will inaugurate a spiritual and environmental center ‘President Tapovan’ within the campus and will lay the foundation of ‘President’s Udyan’. Both these places will be open to the general public from 24 June.
On the same day, the President will also visit the Institute of Empowerment (NIEPVD) of blind persons, where she will inspect the exhibition, Model Science Lab and communicate with the students. In the evening, she will participate in the program organized on the 125th anniversary of Raj Bhavan in Nainital and will issue a memorial postage stamp. On June 21, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, the President will participate in the collective yoga demonstration held at the Uttarakhand State Police Line ground. Significantly, the President’s predetermined Madhya Pradesh’s Indore and Barwani tour (18-19 June) has been canceled, which has been officially confirmed by the Indore District Collector, although the reason for the cancellation is not stated.
