Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state of Gujarat has become an epitome of good governance with transparency, accountability and citizen-centric initiatives. A major initiative in this transformation is the CM Dashboard, a state-of-the-art digital platform to monitor and manage state development projects and public services in real-time. Increasing this capability of CM Dashboard, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had launched the “Project Setu” module under the Pragati-G portal (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation in Gujarat) last year i.e. on Good Governance Day in 2023. Now the Project Setu module is about to complete one year.
What is “Project Setu” module of Pragati-G portal of CM Dashboard?
Project Setu module has been launched under Pragati-G portal of CM Dashboard as a Chief Minister level monitoring system for timely completion of ongoing projects under various departments of the state and quick redressal of problems arising in implementation of those projects. Launched. Under this module, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister himself conducts micro-level monitoring of various projects in the state. For this, the issues of the projects have been classified into more than 10 categories and on this basis, their detailed review is done.
In-depth review of projects worth ₹78,000 crore under paperless review process
Gujarat Government’s ‘Project Setu’ has set a new example by in-depth review of 380 important projects costing ₹78,000 crore in a short span of just 1 year. Of the 327 issues raised during this process, 193 were successfully resolved, representing an impressive success rate of approximately 60%. By getting quick solutions to these problems, the chances of timely completion of these projects increases manifold. Not only this, the facility of review meetings of small and big projects of various departments under the ‘Project Setu’ module has also made the review process of the state government completely paperless. This has not only increased transparency but also made the decision making process faster.
What is Pragati-G Portal of CM Dashboard?
Projects costing more than Rs 5 crore are monitored under Pragati-G portal i.e. Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation in Gujarat. So far, more than 7,812 projects have been registered under this portal. Not only this, out of these, 3,753 projects i.e. 48% have been successfully completed, while work on other projects is going on at various stages. The Pragati-G portal and Project Setu initiative of the Government of Gujarat not only ensure effective monitoring and timely implementation, but also set an excellent example of transparent and accountable governance in the state. Through ‘Project Setu’, Gujarat Government has achieved faster resolution of issues, inter-departmental coordination and acceleration of development works. This success of ‘Project Setu’ is not only giving impetus to the projects but also making the development model of Gujarat more good-governance-oriented.
