Punjab News: Three members of a family were shot dead by bike-borne miscreants in front of Gurdwara Akalgarh Sahib in Firozpur district on Tuesday afternoon. The bike-borne miscreants fired around 20 rounds. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon. The attackers came on a bike. Around 20 rounds were fired.
People were going to shop for sister’s wedding
According to the information received, Dilpreet Singh (29) was going to the market for shopping with his sister and cousins in a white Verna car on Tuesday afternoon. Dilpreet Singh had left home to do shopping for his sister’s wedding. As soon as everyone reached in front of Gurdwara Akalgarh Sahib, two masked youths riding a motorcycle reached there and stopped the car. As soon as the car stopped, the masked miscreants riding the bike started firing indiscriminately.
The miscreants fired about twenty rounds. Firing in broad daylight created a sensation in the area. The woman travelling in the car died on the spot in the accident. Dilpreet Singh and his cousin also died. Dilpreet Singh who died had two cases of murder registered against him. After firing on the car, the miscreants on bike fled from the spot.
On receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the spot with full force. The police immediately admitted the other injured passengers in the car to the hospital for treatment. The bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
