Punjab: In a significant breakthrough, Punjab Police has busted a Pakistan sponsored terror module which was supported by Babbar Khalsa International and ISI. Four terrorists including the mastermind of this module Abhijot Singh have been arrested. These terrorists were working on the instructions of Happy Pasian and Shamsher alias Honey living in Armenia. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav shared the information about this operation on social media, in which he said that the police has solved the cases of two major grenade attacks in Batala and Gurdaspur.

Police also recovered one 9 mm Glock 26 pistol and six rounds of ammunition from the terrorists. DGP said that when the police team tried to surround the terrorists, the miscreants started firing, after which the police retaliated. During this, two miscreants were injured and were admitted to Batala Civil Hospital, where their condition is said to be stable.

Apart from this, Punjab Police has also arrested five shooters belonging to Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Amritpal Baath gang, who were involved in target killing. Four weapons have also been recovered from these shooters. Police said that preliminary investigation has revealed that these accused had conspired to carry out target killing in Punjab. Important information has also been received about a major incident recently committed by this gang in Tarn Taran area, which proved helpful in identifying their network.

This success of Punjab Police has exposed the terrorist network and investigation is going on to trace their network spread in Punjab and other parts. Police have taken strict security measures in view of the recent grenade attacks in Punjab. The police have decided to raise the walls of police stations across the state by five feet, so that they can be protected from these attacks. Firstly, RDX was planted near Ajnala police station in Amritsar, but the blast did not occur there. After this, attacks were carried out on Gurkabakhsh Nagar, Islamabad and Majitha police stations. Different terrorist organizations had taken responsibility for these attacks. The Majha region of Punjab in particular has become the epicenter of terrorist activities, and following these incidents the police administration has taken concrete measures to strengthen the security arrangements. With these efforts, the police hope that these terrorist attacks will be controlled in the coming time.
