Raebareli News: District Magistrate Harshita Mathur has made special arrangements in Gaushalas of Rae Bareli district to provide relief to cow dynasties from this scorching heat and heat outbreak, in 89 destitute gaushalas of the district, the Livestock Department has made extensive arrangements to save the cows from the heat, showing activeness.
In the cowsheds, the enclosures of cow dynasties have been covered with jute sacks and tarpaulin to protect them from direct sunlight. Not only this, water is being sprayed several times a day on these sacks and tarpaulin. This process keeps the temperature under control inside the enclosures and reduces the outbreak of heat, which gives relief from the heat to the animals.
Chief Livestock Development Officer Anil Kumar said that detailed guidelines have been issued to save animals from heat in all 89 destitute gaushalas of the district. Under this, cow dynasties are being given regular wet straw, and their grahesives are being filled three to four times a day so that they can get sufficient amount of water.
Mr. Kumar also informed that Gaushala managers have been instructed to keep the tarpaulin and sacks constantly wet around the enclosures. Repeating this process regularly, it has been asked to make videos and send it to a group of officers, so that the monitoring of the arrangements can be ensured.
This active effort of the Livestock Department is getting a positive effect. After such videos went viral from the cowsheds, the common people are also adopting similar measures to protect their private animals from the heat. This initiative is not only proving effective in protecting the cow dynasties from the scorching heat, but is also making the common people sensitive to livestock. This readiness of the Livestock Department in the district is admirable, which is ensuring care and safety of destitute cows in the scorching heat.
