Bihar Band: The Bihar bandh, called by opposition parties against the special intensive voter list revision (SIR) in Bihar, has shook the entire state on 9 July i.e. Wednesday. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi himself reached Patna and stopped the vehicle on the road near the airport and met Congress leaders. The grand alliance, led by Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, has announced a tremendous protest march from Income Tax Golambar to the Chief Electoral Office.

The Grand Alliance argues that the imperative of 11 documents is a huge burden for common poor people, so that their names can be removed from the voter list. The opposition has described it as a ‘conspiracy to vote’.

Rahul Gandhi’s big statement

In protest against the voter list, Rahul Gandhi alerted the Election Commission and said, “I am clearly telling the people of Bihar and Hindustan that the election of Maharashtra was stolen and in the same way Bihar is trying to steal elections.

Rahul Gandhi further said, “I want to give a clear message to the Election Commission that you should do what you have to do, but later the law will apply to you. No matter how big you are sitting in the post, the law will not leave you. Your job is not to do BJP work, your job is to protect the Constitution of India, which you are not doing.”

Political power show

During the Bihar bandh, the major fours and roads of Patna were bridged by his posters to welcome Rahul Gandhi. Congress state president Rajesh Ram said, “Whenever democracy has been attacked, Rahul Gandhi has fought on the streets.”

Furious performance across the state

Patna Secretariat Station: Under the leadership of Congress and Pappu Yadav, the train was stopped and protested. Due to this, rail services were badly affected.

NH-31 and Sh-77 Jam in Katihar: Thousands of protesters have blocked the wheel since morning, which disrupted traffic for hours.

Gandhi Setu and Ramashish Chowk: The movement at the entrance under the leadership of RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan was intensified, causing traffic to come to a standstill.

NH-30 in Danapur-Maner: Slogans were raised by burning tires.

NH-31 jam in flood: RJD workers remained active at Jal Govind Chowk since morning, due to which the common people faced a lot of problems.

Vigilance of administration

More than 50 magistrates and more than 600 policemen have been deployed in Patna. Strict surveillance has been increased in sensitive areas. The administration has appealed to the general public to maintain peace.

Let me tell you, this bandh of the opposition seems to be taking a wide form of protecting democratic rights in Bihar. This movement seems to be getting faster due to Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav taking to the streets. In the coming days, this issue and fast political debate can be highlighted.
