Railway employees arrested
Central and local agencies are investigating after the plot to cause a major rail accident between Kim-Kosamba in Surat, Gujarat was foiled. Meanwhile, Surat Rural Police found in its investigation that Subhash Poddar, a railway employee who first witnessed the incident, is the accused in the case. He had planned to tamper with the train tracks to get a promotion. He himself removed the fish plate and keys from the tracks.
No suspicious material was found at the scene of the incident
The NIA first suspected Subhash in this entire case, because no common man could have removed 71 fish plates and keys from the tracks in such a short time. Three trains passed through there before the incident came to light, but the loco pilots of all three trains did not notice anything suspicious. No footprints or other suspicious objects were also found at the spot. Therefore, the NIA already suspected that railway employee Subhash Poddar was lying.
Identification of the arrested accused
Investigative agencies have arrested three railway employees in this case. The names of these arrested accused are Subhash Kumar Krishnadev Podar, Manish Kumar Surdev Mistry and the third one is Shubham Shrijayprakash Jaiswal. Out of these, two are from Bihar and one is from UP.
I wanted to get a promotion in the railways
During investigation, the accused told the police that in such special incidents, those who avert the accident are given rewards. They also get promotions. The railway officer told the police that as soon as Subhash informed that 71 fish plates and keys had been removed and placed on the tracks, a major accident and loss of life was averted due to the alertness of railway employee Subhash Poddar. A major railway accident was averted.
made up a false story
After informing the Kim station master about the incident, the train was immediately stopped at Kosamba railway station. During the investigation, Subhash Poddar, who was on patrol, told that he had seen three unknown people walking on the railway track. After making such a story, the accused were arrested after interrogation.
