Heavy rains have started once again in Gujarat. Waterlogging was seen in many areas of Gandhinagar on Tuesday. The situation is such that some parts of the state are facing floods due to heavy rains. Even the Air Force had to be called in for relief work. The Meteorological Department says that Gujarat will not get relief from heavy rains for the next 2 days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rains with thunderstorms in various parts of Gujarat during the next 24 hours. An orange alert for heavy rains has also been issued in some districts.
Red alert in these districts
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain worse in the Gujarat region. A red alert has been issued for torrential rain in different parts of South Gujarat region during the next 24 hours. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rains can be seen at some places in Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli districts of South Gujarat region. A red alert has been issued regarding this.
Heavy rain orange alert in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are expected at isolated places in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Narmada and Dang districts of Gujarat region during the next 24 hours. On the other hand, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and Diu in Saurashtra may receive heavy to very heavy rains. An orange alert has been issued regarding this.
Yellow alert for heavy rain in these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains at isolated places in Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Dahod and Mahisagar districts of North Gujarat region and Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Morbi, Dwarka, Botad and Kutch districts of Saurashtra-Kutch during the next 24 hours.
There will be light to moderate rain in these districts
Light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Ahmedabad, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli districts of Gujarat region while Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch and Diu of Saurashtra-Kutch during the next 24 hours. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 30-40 kmph. According to IMD, the weather will remain bad in many parts of Gujarat on Wednesday as well.
