Rain will intensify again, many districts of Maharashtra will receive heavy rainfall; IMD alert

Like different states of the country, rain continues in Maharashtra too. Many districts of Maharashtra witnessed light rain on Friday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an increase in the intensity of rain in different parts of the state in the next few days. There is a possibility of rain in Marathwada region during the next two days, while rain is likely to intensify in many parts of the state from Monday.

Yellow alert issued in Marathwada

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in some areas of Marathwada and Central Maharashtra today. Heavy rains may occur especially in Beed, Latur, Dharashiv, Parbhani, Nanded and Hingoli districts within the next 24 hours. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts. Yellow alert is usually given for heavy rain and a caution signal.

Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in other districts of Marathwada and many other areas of Central Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather in Marathwada region will be favorable for rain from Friday, which will increase the possibility of heavy rain here.

Alert in Vidarbha too

Rain activities may also intensify in Vidarbha region. Yellow alert has also been issued in Amravati, Washim, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts. Heavy rain may occur at some places in these districts.

Rain in other districts of Central Maharashtra as well

Heavy rains may also occur at some places in Nanded, Latur and Dharashiv districts of Marathwada. Apart from this, rain activities may also intensify in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Nanded and Dharashiv districts. Heavy rains are also expected in Ahmednagar and Solapur districts of Central Maharashtra in the next few days.
