There is a dispute for the ticket in the Rajasthan assembly by-election. Nagaur MLA Harendra Mirdha has staked claim for Khinvsar. Mirdha said that claiming the ticket is the birthright of his family. He was asked about his son Raghuvendra Mirdha’s claim for the ticket for the by-election to be held on the Khinvsar assembly seat. He replied, claiming the ticket is a birthright. It has been there for three generations and will remain so even now. However, he also said that the party will decide who to give the ticket to. He claimed that the party is in a position to win in Khinvsar today.
Whereas Dausa MP Murari Lal Meena has made it clear that he will not lobby for a ticket for any of his family members from the Dausa assembly by-election. He said that there will be no candidate from his family in the by-election from the Dausa seat. However, after he became an MP, his wife or daughter is being said to be a strong contender for the ticket. He said that he will take the opinion of all the leaders and workers for the Dausa seat and will give suggestions to the party. He has claimed Congress’ victory on all seven seats in the by-election.
It is noteworthy that Harendra Mirdha is the son of Ramnivas Mirdha, who has a strong hold in Rajasthan’s Jat politics. Earlier, he too had contested elections from Khinvsar on a Congress ticket. This time in the assembly elections, Congress fielded him from Nagaur. Where he won the election by defeating BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha. Now Harendra Mirdha’s son Raghuvendra Mirdha is claiming a Congress ticket from Khinvsar seat in the by-election.
Raghuveer Singh Meena, who has contested the assembly elections from Salumber, has said that who will the party give the ticket for Salumber seat. The high command has to decide this. Even if the party gives the ticket to him or someone in the family, he will fight the election strongly and even if the party gives the ticket to someone else, he will fight the election strongly together. He expressed confidence in the victory of Congress from Salumber seat.
By-elections are to be held on seven seats in Rajasthan in the coming time. Khinvsar (Nagaur), Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Chaurasi (Dungarpur) and Deoli Uniara seats have become vacant after the results of the Lok Sabha elections. Five assembly seats became vacant after Hanuman Beniwal, Brijendra Ola, Murarilal Meena, Rajkumar Roat and Harishchandra Meena became MPs. After this, after the death of BJP MLA Amritlal Meena from Salumber and Congress MLA Zubair Khan from Ramgarh, these two seats have also become vacant. Where by-elections will be held.
