Rajasthan Police has warned people about cyber fraudsters. In a post on the social media platform X, the police has said that “Beware of calls coming in the name of TRAI. There is deception in the world of lies. TRAI never makes such calls to you. If you are also getting such calls, then inform www.sancharsathi.gov.in or www.cybercrime.gov.in.
‘The Department of Telecommunications informs you that your mobile number has been reported multiple times. All services registered in your name will be deactivated in 30 minutes. Press 1 for details, press 2 to contact service representative.’ If you receive such a call on your mobile, be cautious instead of following the instructions given on the call in a hurry, because this is a new trick of cyber thugs. As soon as you respond as per the instructions given, you can get into big trouble and cyber thugs can blow away the money deposited in your bank account.
Cyber volunteer Hemraj Saravata says that cyber thugs who commit cyber fraud are using new tricks every day. Now they are deceiving people by making computer generated calls in the name of the telecom department. If someone follows the instructions given on such calls, he can get into big trouble.
