A video of Rajat Bhattacharya is going viral, in which he is threatening the youth of Bihar who had come to Siliguri for the examination, misbehaving with them and beating them. West Bengal Police is taking him into custody and interrogating him.

The Bengal Police has taken into custody the person who threatened and assaulted the youth who had gone from Bihar to appear for the examination in Siliguri, West Bengal. The name of the accused is Rajat Bhattacharya, who is a member of a fundamentalist organization named Bangla Pakkho. His associate Giridhari Roy has also been caught by the police. This matter came into discussion on Thursday after the video of assault on Bihari youth went viral. After this, Bihar Police Headquarters contacted West Bengal Police over phone in this regard. Then Bengal Police took this action. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had also called West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday and demanded strict action against the culprit.
On the other hand, politics has heated up in Bihar regarding this issue. Union Minister Giriraj Singh condemned this incident and attacked the Mamata government of West Bengal. He sarcastically said on Thursday that red carpet is being spread for Rohingya Muslims in Bengal, while the youth who had gone for the examination from Bihar are being beaten.
Chirag Paswan said- Is giving exam in Bengal also a crime?
Union Minister and LJP National President Ram Vilas Chirag Paswan has also cornered the Mamata government on this matter. He said through a social media post on Thursday that the incident of brutal assault on Bihari students in Bengal is extremely unfortunate and condemnable. The CM there Mamata Banerjee has once again insulted the Biharis, which cannot be tolerated at all. He asked Mamata whether giving exams in West Bengal is also a crime?

According to reports, Rajat Bhattacharya is associated with an organization named Bangala Pakho. This organization claims to protect Bengali culture, language and identity. In the viral video, the accused Rajat is assaulting the Biharis and asking why he came to Bengal from Bihar to take the exam. He alleged that Bihari people come to West Bengal to appear for exams on the basis of fake certificates and then by taking jobs here, they kill the rights of the youth of Bengal. At present the police is interrogating the accused Rajat, after which further action will be taken.
