The central government may soon change the governors of many states including Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh. During this period, those names can be considered who have already rendered 3 to 5 years of service.
According to the report of New Indian Express, the discussion of reshuffle is also important because many Governors and Lieutenant Governors have been serving for 3-5 years. These especially include Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadar and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The state government has recently taken command in Jammu and Kashmir.
These could be new names
According to the report, there is speculation that Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha may be replaced by former Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Ram Madhav. At the same time, there are discussions about giving a new role to Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lieutenant Governor Devendra Kumar may be given new responsibility in Kerala or Jammu and Kashmir. Kumar has been the Governor since October 2017.
Quoting sources in the report, it is being said that changes can be made after the formation of a new government in Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana or after the assembly elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. Apart from this, senior BJP leaders who are away from the Lok Sabha election field can also be made Governor or LG. These may include names like Ashwini Chaubey, VK Singh, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Gujarat’s Acharya Devvrat have been in office for more than 3 years. Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya are in office since July 15, 2021.
