The accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in Badlapur has been arrested. It is reported that the girl became pregnant after the incident. The police, who were searching for the accused for 2 months, found his location in Telangana, from where he was arrested on 27 August and brought to Badlapur. Currently, the court has ordered to keep him in police custody till 31 August.

The incident took place in June. 35-year-old Nagesh Shende alias Naresh raped the 11-year-old daughter of a security guard at a construction site. After the incident, he fled from Badlapur and the police had no information about his whereabouts. The accused allegedly raped the victim while she was returning from her friend’s house. He took her to a secluded place and committed the crime.
He also threatened the victim not to tell anyone, but when she complained of stomach pain and was taken to the hospital, it was revealed that she was 5 weeks pregnant. After this, the family filed a case on July 20 and a case was registered under the relevant sections of IPC and POCSO.
Threats started coming
It is reported that the accused’s henchmen put a lot of pressure on the victim’s family to withdraw the case. Not only this, their house was also demolished. In such a situation, the frightened guard father decided to take the family back to their country Nepal. According to the Hindustan Times report, after the case was registered, the victim’s family started receiving threats. The name of senior police inspector Shubhada Shitole also came up in this case.
The family claimed that despite the identification and threats of the accused, no arrest was made, after which he fled from here for safety. The special thing is that Shitole’s name also came up in the evasion of investigation in the sexual harassment case that took place in the school toilet.
