Chhapra Court’s Special POCSO Judge Smita Raj has sent a rapist behind the bars who made his minor daughter a victim of his lust. The father accused of raping his minor daughter was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment. Apart from this, a fine of 25 thousand rupees was also imposed by the court. If the amount of 25 thousand is not paid, an additional six months of punishment will have to be served. This decision has become a topic of discussion in the district.
The judge directed the District Legal Services Authority to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the victim. In this case, 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000 has been imposed under section 4 of POCSO. This case is of the year 2022 when the victim gathered courage to complain to the police. The accused father had raped her several times. After complaining to the police, the matter was investigated and action was taken against the accused.

She had said in the FIR that after the death of her mother, her father got married again. The second wife also died by setting herself on fire after six years. Then her father married her aunt. She also had a dispute with her aunt. Meanwhile, whenever the victim was alone in the house, the accused used to do wrong things with her and beat her if she protested. A few days later, the aunt also died. After that, to save herself, she went to her maternal home.
After the case was registered, the police conducted a thorough investigation. All the allegations were found to be true in the police investigation. The court’s verdict came after a hearing of more than two years. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment. A fine of Rs 25,000 was also imposed on him.
