Viral khabar: Have you ever heard that rats can drink alcohol? A similar peculiar case has come to light from Dhanbad in Jharkhand where liquor worth lakhs of rupees disappeared from a liquor shop, and the shopkeeper gave responsibility to the mice.
This is the case of liquor shops in Balliapur and Pradhankhanta areas of Dhanbad. When the team of the excise department reached to investigate, they found 802 bottles less than government stocks. When the shopkeeper was asked, he said without hesitation that these bottles have been drunk by mice. Officers were also shocked to hear the consumption of expensive Scotch and wine bottles. The shop also found marks of broken bottles, which further strengthened the claim.
Political allegations and counter-allegations begin
The case has also caught political color. The BJP has accused the government of hiding it, calling it a big scam. Party spokesperson Pratul Shahdev said in a funny manner, catch the bounded mice immediately.
At the same time, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress retaliated on BJP. JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey, while citing the damage caused by mice in the dam during the former government, said that the culprits would not be spared. Congress General Secretary Alok Dubey described the BJP as only a political allegation.

Assistant Excise Commissioner Ramlila Ravani said that the investigation process has started. The department has clarified that the shopkeeper will have to pay the bottles found to be low. The shopkeeper is still engaged in proving himself innocent. Now the question is whether the mice have really drank such an expensive liquor, or it is a new form of corruption.
