Ravinder Raina, BJP candidate from Nowshera assembly constituency of Jammu and Kashmir, is probably the poorest candidate in the country. The interesting thing is that in the last 10 years, the wealth of most leaders of Jammu and Kashmir has doubled, while Raina has become poorer than before. According to the affidavit given by Ravinder Raina in the 2014 elections, he had 20 thousand rupees in cash and 1000 rupees in savings account. There is no criminal case registered against Raina. He has not been accused or convicted in any case.
Now, according to the affidavit he has filed, Ravindra Raina has only Rs 1000 in cash. Thus, he has a shortage of Rs 20,000 as compared to 2014. Ravindra Raina alias Ravindra Kumar Sharma is a resident of Nowshera in Rajouri. He has stated in his affidavit that he has only Rs 1000 in cash and no vehicle. Apart from this, jewellery, agricultural land, ancestral property, non-agricultural land and other financial and residential properties are also not in his name. Raina has stated that he has a government residence in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. It was allotted to him when he was elected MLA in 2014.
Ravindra Raina does not have any pending electricity, phone or water bills. Science graduate Ravindra Raina has also done a diploma in Human Rights and Duties Education. Ravindra Raina is one of the top leaders of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir and is currently handling the responsibility of campaign in the assembly elections.
