Responsibility of bank employees will be fixed, Rajasthan Police issued advisory regarding cyber fraud.

Taking cognizance of the ever increasing cases of cyber fraud in which common people, out of ignorance, greed or in collusion with bank employees, provide bank accounts on rent to cyber criminals, the Cyber Crime Branch of the Police Headquarters has issued an advisory. By doing this, the account holders involved in cyber crimes will themselves be held responsible. He said that where such mule accounts were opened by many bank employees, their criminal responsibility was fixed and legal action was taken and strictest action would be taken in future also.

DGA Cyber Crime Mr. Priyadarshi said that in this regard, all the District Superintendents of Police were directed from the Police Headquarters to spread the message among the general public by putting up pamphlets and hoardings in front of the collector’s office and police stations so that awareness can be spread among the people who are unaware of cyber crime.
