Now candidates will not have to worry about the recruitment examination for government jobs in Rajasthan. Full sleeve shirts of male and female candidates will not be cut into half sleeves. Staff Selection Board Chairman Alok Raj himself has mentioned this on social media. He wrote on A full sleeve shirt will do but a plain button one.
It is noteworthy that this time due to the strict rules of the board, we had to face uncomfortable situations many times. Controversy has started over the removal of sacred thread during the common eligibility test organized by Rajasthan State Staff Selection Board. On Friday, 27th September, a candidate had gone to Jaipur to appear for CET exam. Policemen were checking before entering the examination center. During this time, a candidate was wearing a sacred thread. When the policemen asked him to take it off, the candidate refused. Later this matter reached the superintendent of the examination center i.e. the school principal. The Principal also asked the candidate to enter the examination center only after taking off the sacred thread. In such a situation, the candidate had to remove the sacred thread.
After the controversy escalated, State Staff Selection Board Chairman Major Alok Raj said that there are rules not to wear any kind of locket or items made of metal in the board examinations. There are no separate rules regarding the sacred thread, but if any metal item is tied on the sacred thread then it is permissible to remove it. Major Alok Raj said that the matter which has now come to light is being investigated. In future, such rules will be decided so that disputes do not arise.
